Experience 2 of the best and most iconic destinations on Australia's fabulous East Coast with our awesome K'gari (previously known as Fraser) Island and Whitsundays Sailing.
The pack includes a fantastic 2-night yacht cruise around the Whitsundays, stopping off at Whitehaven Beach and some beautiful snorkel spots, and a 4x4 camping experience on Fraser Island that sees you exploring in a 4WD vehicle and camping out under the stars.

1. Fraser Island 4x4 Camping
Jump on a 4x4 and explore beautiful Fraser Island with a group of like-minded travellers and a guide! Follow the lead driver as you drive your own 4x4 vehicle across the sands of Fraser Island. Explore the island at your leisure, camp out in stunning surroundings, and discover perfect beaches and hidden pools. Camping and cooking equipment are included as well as 2 nights in a hostel near Rainbow Beach.
Day 1: Rainbow Beach. Arrive at Rainbow beach and meet your group at a compulsory safety briefing at 4pm. Receive maps, itineraries and specialist training on how to drive over soft sand. You will stay at a fun hostel near Rainbow Beach with free pool and ping pong, a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, cheap meals and nightly entertainment. Perfect!
Day 2: Rainbow Beach to Fraser Island. Pack your bags and camping equipment and climb aboard the 4x4! Transfer to Fraser Island and explore island highlights such as 75 Mile Beach and Lake McKenzie. Set up camp and whip up a delicious meal under the stars. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 3: Fraser Island. Have breakfast and head out for more exploration. You’ll visit Eli Creek, the Maheno ship wreck, Indian Head and the Champagne Pools. Set up camp after another great day 4x4ing! Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 4: Fraser Island to Rainbow Beach. Today you’ll explore Rainbow Gorge or Lake Wabby. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Rainbow Beach and enjoy another night chilling out with your new mates. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 5: Depart Rainbow Beach. 4x4 experience ends today. Time for more adventures in Australia!
2. Whitsundays Maxi Yacht sailing
Climb aboard a gorgeous maxi yacht and spend 3 days sailing around the Whitsundays (departing in the afternoon of day 1 and returning in the morning of day 3). Watch the landscapes glide by and slide into the cool turquoise waters for swimming and snorkelling. You will stop off at Whitehaven Beach, stroll along the white sand shores, and discover the gorgeous fringing coral reefs at the northern end of the Whitsundays. As the sun goes down, get out on deck and gaze at the stars with a few drinks. You will sleep in dorm style cabins, with on board showers and toilets.
- Beautiful Yacht. You will spend 2 nights on a gorgeous maxi yacht with open deck spaces for sunbathing and comfortable cabins to sleep in.
- Whitehaven Beach. Widely regarded as one of the best beaches in the world, this stunning stretch of white sands and turquoise waters has to be seen to be believed!
- Island Reefs. Snorkel around the fringing coral reefs and discover an underwater wonderland. Snorkel gear provided!
- Chill out time. Sit back, relax on deck and laze in the sun! Life doesn't get much better than this!
- Freshly Prepared On-board Meals. Dinner is included on day 1. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included on day 2 and breakfast is included on day 3.

Fraser Island: Your compulsory briefings take place at 4.30pm on day 1 at your hostel in Rainbow Beach, the day before departure to Fraser Island.
Whitsundays: You should check in by 11:00am on the day of your departure at the designated location on your voucher in Airlie Beach. You should then meet at meet at the marina by 1:30pm ready for departure.
You must confirm a travel date with the local team at least 10 to 14 days before travel for both parts of the add-on. Details of how to do this are on your vouchers.
4 nights of accommodation are included on this experience.
2 nights will be spent in a buzzing hostel near Rainbow Beach. You will sleep in 6-10 share mixed en-suite dorms. The accommodation includes free pool tables, free ping pong, $7 meals, fully licensed bar with nightly entertainment and drinks specials, a swimming pool, and free wifi. The accommodation is located just 5 minutes walk from the beach, shops, cafes and supermarket.
2 nights will be spent camping on Fraser Island. All camping equipment apart from a sleeping bag will be provided.
2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners are included.
2 nights of accommodation on board a maxi yacht are included. You will sleep in shared cabins below deck. The yacht had hot-water on-board showers. Bedding and a bath towel are included.
2 breakfast, 1 lunch and 2 dinners are included over the course of the trip.
The minimum age to join this trip is 18. In order to drive a 4x4 on Fraser Island you must be aged 21 or over and have a full, clean, manual driving license.
All visitors to Australia (excepting those from New Zealand) will require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter. These must be applied for before departure, and if you’re planning on working in Australia whilst you’re out here, you’ll need a Working Holiday Visa. If you are just heading to Australia for fun however, an ETA should suffice. Both visas can be applied for online.

This trip is designed with your safety and wellbeing in mind. Arrival safety meetings
Most trips have an arrival meeting on the first day where the guide or local team will run through the trip, the safety protocols, and to answer any questions you may have. Now more than ever it is important you arrive in time for these meetings.
Proof of vaccination or negative covid test
For the safety of all travellers, at the start of some trips you may be required to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated (14 days after your second dose) and/or show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the tour start date in order to join the programme.
Updated hygiene and safety procedures
Our suppliers and partners have health and safety procedures in place on all of our trips. These protocols will be updated and adapted as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, dependent on local restrictions and laws.
Transport and accommodation choices
Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.
Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.
Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.
24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.
It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
