How it Works

When you book, you’ll be issued an open-dated pass. Then, when you have worked out when you will be in Airlie Beach, you can call the local team to confirm your place on the boat. We recommend confirming your booking at least a week before you wish to travel.

Depending on when you travel, you’ll cruise on one of four spectacular maxi yachts. These include Boomerang, British Defender, Broomstick, and Condor. For more information about these yachts, please download the trip notes.

Day 1: Airlie Beach – The Whitsundays. Meet the crew on Airlie Beach at around 2pm and board your beautiful maxi sailing yacht. Cast off across azure seas and cruise towards gorgeous Whitehaven Beach, a gleaming shoreline that extends 7km into the distance. Stroll along the sand and hike up to Hill Inlet Lookout for an out-of-this-world view across the island. Tuck into a delicious meal on deck this evening and watch the stars appear overhead.

Please note: You should check in with the local team at 7pm on the day before your sailing trip departs.

Day 2: The Whitsundays. Grab some breakfast and a coffee as you cruise towards the colourful coral reefs that fringe Hayman Island and Mantaray Bay. Head underwater with some snorkelling (snorkel gear provided) and get up close to some stunning tropical marine life. Tonight, enjoy another freshly prepared meal with the group before bed.

Day 3: The Whitsundays – Airlie Beach. Enjoy your final morning on the yacht as you sail back to Airlie Beach. Drop anchor and return to dry land. Time to reflect on your incredible sailing adventure in the Whitsundays!

Please note: Exact itinerary may vary depending on sea conditions.

Why not combine this programme with our hop-on hop-off Sydney to Cairns Travel Pass? This fantastic flexible travel pass takes in all of the East Coast’s finest destinations, including Airlie Beach, the perfect jump-off point for this 2-night sailing adventure.
