Day 1: Arrive in Cusco. Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Arrive in Cusco and make your way to your starting accommodation. There are no activities planned for today, apart from a welcome meeting at 6pm, where you’ll meet the rest of the gang and learn what we’ve got in store.

Day 2: Malaga Pass biking. Get your adrenaline pumping today with an exhilarating mountain biking adventure at Malaga Pass. Enjoy out of this world views of glaciers, waterfalls, Incan sites and powerful rivers as you pedal through the pass – amazing.

Day 3: Santa Teresa Valley hike. Strap on your walking boots ready for a full day hike along the Urubamba River towards Santa Teresa. Take in views of lush jungle, coca plantations and orchards before soothing your aching muscles in the hot spring that’s waiting at the end of the hike.

Day 4: Santa Teresa & Aguas Calientes. Start your day with a high adrenaline adventure with a jungle zipline that reaches speeds of up to 70kmh! Next up it’s Aguas Calientes. Enjoy the town’s stunning location at the base of a deep gorge and another hot spring soak before evening drinks.

Day 5: Machu Picchu. Tick a big one off your bucket list with an unforgettable day at Machu Picchu. A local guide will take you to the Lost City of the Incas and tell you all about its history. Looking around the misty emerald mountains, you’ll have to pinch yourself to check you’re not dreaming.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain. Take the full day hike to the colourful landscapes of Rainbow Mountain. The stripes of burgundy, gold and turquoise are so vibrant it’s a psychedelic experience. Then head back to Cusco for one final night out with your new friends.

Day 7: Trip end. It’s time to say farewell and continue your travels in Peru, or head to the airport.

Arrival information

Your trip begins in Cusco. Arrive in Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) on day 1. You can arrive at any time as there are no activities planned for the first day, but there is a welcome meeting at 6pm that it’s recommended you attend.

Airport transfers aren’t included, but it’s easy to get from the airport to your starting accommodation. After retrieving your bags at the airport, you’ll see tourist information kiosks, where you can easily arrange the 15 minute taxi transfer. Rates from the kiosks are set so you won’t have to haggle with the driver. If you would prefer to book an airport transfer in advance, please speak to your travel advisor for more information.

Your tour guide will leave a welcome note for you in the hotel, giving the details of your welcome meeting. If you arrive after the welcome meeting, they will leave you a message with details of where and when to meet the next morning.

Your trip ends in Cusco on day 7 and you can leave at any time. Return airport transfers are not included, but your tour guide can help you book these.

Accommodation & meals

This trip includes 6 nights of accommodation. 5 nights will be in simple but comfortable twin-share hotels and 1 night in a multi-share simple hotel (same-sex), often 4-6 people. 

5 breakfasts and 3 lunches are included in the trip. We recommend budgeting around £100-£130 for food not included.

Minimum age & eligibility

The minimum age to take part in this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39

All countries require a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity. UK visitors do not usually need a visa to enter Peru for tourism purposes. All visa, passport and entry requirements are subject to change and you should check the latest advice with the embassy. 

You should have a good level of fitness to take part in this trip as it involves strenuous hikes and mountain biking activity.
