Day 1 - Barcelona

Because first impressions matter, begin your journey the right way - by heading out with your trip leader and group for drinks. Explore and unwind in Barcelona’s most renowned neighbourhoods for nightlife - El Raval, El Born, or The Gothic Quarter.

Day 2 - Barcelona / Madrid

Enjoy an orientation walk along Las Ramblas. Take some time to visit the Gaudí buildings, or explore the Gothic Quarter before boarding an afternoon train to Madrid.

Day 3 - Madrid

Enjoy Spain's beautiful capital on an orientation walk. Free time to visit its many sites, from art museums to sprawling squares. Enjoy a night out with the group. Madrid's nightlife is world renowned!

Day 4 - Madrid / Granada

Full day of free time before transferring to Granada in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Granada

Enjoy an orientation walk in Granada. Opt to relax in one of the many hammam baths around town. Enjoy a tapas bar crawl with the group in the evening. First drink's on us.

Day 6 - Granada / Seville

Journey to Seville and explore this thriving university town. Opt to visit the Real Alcázar, a Moorish palace, or take in an evening flamenco show.

Day 7 - Seville / Algarve

Cross into Portugal, and enjoy the Algarve Coast.

Day 8 - Algarve

Spend the day on the Algarve in Lagos with free time for hiking, water activities, or chilling out oceanside.

Day 9 - Lagos / Lisbon

Take a train up the coast to Portugal's vibrant capital, and enjoy an orientation walk. Free time to visit Cristo Rei for sweeping views of the area, check out the monuments of the Belem neighbourhood, or relax in a café. Indulge in the town's great nightlife on your Big Night Out.

Day 10 - Lisbon

If you have booked the 10 day option, depart at any time. Or if you have booked the Morocco add on, fly to Casablanca with your group.

Morocco Add On

Looking to tick another country off the bucket list? Continue on to Morocco with this 6 day add on. Take an inclusive flight from Lisbon to Casablanca. Check out the capital city of Rabat, before heading Chefchaouen. Take in colourful Fes and hits the souks of Marrakech. Just select the "Spain, Portugal & Morocco" option when booking. Arrival information

You trip starts in Barcelona on day 1. This is an arrival day and no activities have been planned apart from the welcome meeting in the evening.

If you are booked on the 10 day Spain and Portugal trip, your trip ends on day 10 in Lisbon. You can depart at any time.

If you opt to include Morocco, your trip will be 16 days long and your trip ends in Marrakech on day 16. You can depart at any time.

Accommodation & meals

9 nights of simple accommodation in rooms of 4-6 people are included. If you do the Morocco Add On, an additional 6 nights of twin share accommodation are included.

Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility, though generally food is cheap. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company.

No meals are included in Spain and Portugal. 6 breakfasts are included in the Morocco Add On.

Minimum age & eligibility

The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This trip is designed for 18 to 39 year olds.

UK citizens can travel to countries in the European Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. Visits to Schengen countries within the previous 180 days before you travel count towards your 90 days. Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after your trip.

British citizens can enter Morocco without a visa for a visit of up to 3 months. 

All visa, passport and entry requirements are subject to change so we recommend travellers check the most up to date information with the relevant embassies before travel.

Our suppliers and partners have health and safety procedures in place on all of our trips. These protocols will be updated and adapted as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, dependent on local restrictions and laws.

Transport and accommodation choices
Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.

Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.

Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.

Healthcare
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.

24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.

It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
