This awesome three-day tour takes in the best of the Aussie outback, where you can enjoy a real outdoor adventure in Central Australia’s extraordinary red landscape. Going full circle, you’ll start from legendary Alice Springs, head to breathtaking Uluru (Ayers Rock) see natural wonders such as Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon and discover Aboriginal history for a taste of authentic Australia. Camp under the stars, cook over a campfire, live the outback lifestyle and be blown away by Uluru on this three-day epic Red Centre adventure!

Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru

Stuarts Well outback camel farm - Ride a camel (optional: own expense) - Aboriginal arts and crafts at Mount Ebenezer - Mount Connor – Kata Tjuta National Park – Uluru – Cultural Centre – Uluru sunset – Camp overnight.  Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Uluru & Kata Tjuta to Kings Canyon

Uluru sunrise – Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – hike in the ‘Valley of the Winds’ – Camp on working cattle station.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. 

Day 3: Kings Canyon to Alice Springs

Kings Canyon (Watarrka) – Alice Springs.  Breakfast and lunch included.

Arrival information

This three-day tour departs from Alice Springs very early on your start date. You must ensure your arrival in Alice Springs on the previous day before your tour starts. As the tour finishes late on your last day we recommend you stay an extra night in Alice Springs at the end of your trip.

Please contact Gap 360 who can help you book extra accommodation.

Accommodation & meals

Accommodation for both nights of your stay is on private campsites, with the option to sleep either in tents or in a traditional Aussie ‘swag’ under the stars.  The first night will be spent near Uluru and the second night on a working cattle station.  Camping equipment and fees are included, as is a pillow, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag for the trip, or one can be hired for AUD50. Let us know if you wish to hire a sleeping bag and we can pre-book one for you.

Food is mostly included in the tour.  On the first day you will have to get your own breakfast before travelling, but lunch is provided en route and dinner is cooked over a campfire for a taste of authentic outback living.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on day two, and on the final day you are given breakfast and lunch before arriving back in Alice Springs.

Minimum age & eligibility

With a minimum age of 18, all travellers are welcome on the trip, though you should be aware that a reasonable level of fitness is required to participate in some of the more energetic activities.

You will require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter Australia. These must be applied for before departure, and if you’re planning on working in Australia whilst you’re out here you’ll need a Working Holiday Visa. If you are just heading to Australia for fun however, an ETA will suffice. Both visas can be applied for online. Please feel free to contact us if you need any more information.
