Discover the Deep South with this stellar 11-day tour of the most iconic Southern States. Visit the atmospheric Bayou, the one and only Graceland, the honky-tonks of Nashville and the soaring 360 Chicago Tower. With jambalaya and jazz in New Orleans, barbecue and blues in Memphis, country music and chicken in Nashville, and Chicago’s famous deep pan pizza, this trip is a feast for your ears as well as your belly!

Day 1: New Orleans. Welcome to the Bayou! Meet your group this afternoon and get to know New Orleans, starting with the famous Bourbon Street. Pick up some finger-lickin’ Cajun food and seek out a live music joint.
Days 2 - 3: New Orleans. You’ve got two days to explore the laid-back Southern charms of New Orleans. Check out the French Quarter, sample some Cajun food and take an optional tour of the local swamps, or a traditional paddleboat cruise. After dark, hit a live jazz joint.
Day 4: New Orleans to Memphis. Head to Memphis, Tennessee, the home of Elvis Presley. As well as music, Memphis is known for its mouth-watering barbecues. Wear your eating trousers for dinner!
Day 5: Memphis. It’s all about the music today with a visit to the most famous recording studio in the world - Sun Studio, where Elvis made his first recording aged 18. This afternoon, choose between an optional visit to the Memphis Rock n’ Soul Museum or the one and only Graceland.
Day 6: Memphis to Nashville. Take a driving tour of Nashville’s highlights before exploring its honky-tonks and live music joints tonight. It’s the home of country and bluegrass, so pull on those cowboy boots before heading out and get ready to party!
Day 7: Nashville. Enjoy a free day in ‘Music City’. If you didn’t get your fill of country music last night, take the optional visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Grab some of the city’s famous hot chicken for dinner and seek out a local listening room, for a low-key, acoustic music experience.
Day 8: Nashville to Chicago. Take a driving tour to get acquainted with the ‘Windy City’, followed by a trip to the top of the 360 Chicago Tower for breathtaking views. You’ll also experience TILT, a moving platform that literally tilts you out over Michigan Avenue from the 94th floor!
Days 9 – 11: Chicago. You’ve got two more full days to enjoy Chicago you lucky thing! Take an optional helicopter flight, a gangster tour, or hire a bike. Don’t miss the famous Chicago deep-dish pizza! Your trip ends after breakfast on day 11. See y’all again soon!

Your trip begins at 5pm on day 1 in New Orleans. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) is the nearest airport. You’ll need to make your own way from the airport to your starting accommodation. The airport shuttle runs to various destinations in the city every 30 minutes, or you can take the city bus. There is also a taxi stand outside the airport with city regulated fares.
Your trip ends at 9am on day 11 in Chicago. Chicago O-Hare (ORD) is the nearest international airport. You’ll need to arrange your own return transfer as well. Your tour guide can help you with this.

10 breakfasts and 4 dinners are included on this trip. You’ll need to buy all other meals, snacks and drinks yourself. Americans really know how to eat out and you’ll find a great selection of restaurants, cafes and diners, serving food from all around the world, usually in super-sized portions!
The minimum age to join this group tour is 18. Please note that the legal drinking age in the USA is 21. If you are under 21, you will not be allowed into bars or casinos.
British Nationals visiting the USA will be able to travel (for tourism purposes) under the US ESTA Visa Waiver Programme for durations of up to 90 days. Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.
Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.
Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.

We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.
It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
