Golden temples, snow-capped peaks, jungle wildlife, and villages where time stands still, Nepal is a traveller’s paradise. Dive right into this fascinating country on our 13 day group adventure. Kick off on the buzzing streets of Kathmandu, before getting into the heart of the Himalayas. Hit the rapids of Trishuli River on a raft, find enlightenment in a Buddhist monastery, take a jeep safari in Chitwan National Park, chill lakeside in Pokhara, and choose between the excitement of a 3 day trek into the mountains, or the tranquillity of a yoga and meditation retreat – what a trip!

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. An intoxicating mix of sights, smells, and sounds, Kathmandu is sensory overload. Hop in a taxi and weave through streets full of rickshaws, scooters and people, to your hotel in Thamel district. Meet your group over dinner tonight, before hitting a live music bar.
Day 2: Explore Kathmandu. Hit Kathmandu’s streets on a rickshaw tour for a dose of spirituality and history. Think temples covered in marigolds, the smell of incense and gold-plated spires. We’ll meet the holy monkeys at Swayambhunath Stupa, soak up the zen at Boudhhanath and observe evening prayer at Pashupatinth Temple.
Day 3: Trishuli River and Nagarkot. Leave Kathmandu behind and head for the Trishuli River, where we’ll hit the rapids on an epic white-water rafting adventure! Next up it’s the beautiful hill town of Nagarkot. Take in the spectacular views, before learning the art of making momos (steamed dumplings) – yum!
Day 4: Nagarkot to Pharphing (via Bhaktapur). It’s an early start today (trust us, it’s worth it), for sunrise over the Himalayas. Next up it’s the medieval town of Bhaktapur. Try dahi (buffalo yoghurt), check out a temple, or chat to the local artisans. Spend tonight in a monastery in Pharphing, observing the monks’ rituals and sharing dinner with them– what a day!
Day 5: Pharphing to Chitwan National Park. See the monks at morning prayer, before continuing your spiritual journey in Asura cave, where guru Padma Sambhava found enlightenment. Then we’re off to Chitwan National Park to watch the elephants taking a sunset bath - awwww.
Day 6: Chitwan National Park to Lumbini. Hop into the jeep and get ready to delve deep into the park today. Keep your eyes peeled for rhino, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, bears, and the jewel in Chitwan’s crown - a royal Bengal tiger. After an amazing day, continue on to Lumbini.
Day 7: Lumbini to Pokhara. We’ll find our inner zen today as we visit Maya Devi Temple (birthplace of Buddha) and take a meditation class. Next up, it’s dreamy Pokhara. This lake-side town has jaw-dropping views of the Himalayas, and a laid-back vibe. Head for a sunset drink on the lake.
Day 8: Pokhara. Want to take bucket-list to new heights? How about paragliding over Pokhara? Or splash about on Phewa Taal Lake in a paddle-boat – make sure you’ve got your camera! Take it easy tonight at the Movie Garden, an outdoor cinema built into an old rice terrace.
Days 9 – 11: Trekking or yoga experience. Choose either a 3-day hike into the Himalayas, or a yoga retreat. Its mountain ranges, rugged valleys and mountain village stays, or yoga poses, meditation, mud baths and aromatherapy. There are no wrong decisions here – both options are great!
Day 12: Pokhara to Bandipur. If you’ve been hiking, opt for a yoga lesson this morning. If you’ve been on the yoga retreat, take a morning hike. Then head to blissful Bandipur, a traditional village with wooden buildings and flagstone streets. Relax in the sun on a café balcony, before enjoying a last night with the group.
Day 13: Bandipur to Kathamandu. Travel back to where it all started – Kathmandu. Say your goodbyes and head to the airport or continue your adventures.

Our trip kicks off in Kathmandu on day 1 or earlier. Arrive into Tribhuvan International Airport and make your way to your starting accommodation. There are no activities planned until this evening so arrive at a time that suits you.
The trip ends late afternoon on day 13 in Kathmandu. You can either make your way to the airport, choose to stay on longer in the city, or continue your travels around Nepal. We recommend flying out for Kathmandu from 8pm onwards in case of delays. Most people will spend an extra night in Kathmandu and fly the following day, your guide can help you book extra accommodation locally.
12 nights’ accommodation is included on this trip. You’ll be staying in a mixture of charming Nepali-style hostels and homestays. Accommodation is on a multi-share mixed sex basis in rooms up to a maximum of 8 people. Single and double room upgrades are available. Speak to your travel adviser for more information.
With the exception of dinner at the monastery experience, meals are not included in this trip however the guide will be able to recommend affordable and delicious local restaurants so you can sample the delights of Nepali cuisine.
The minimum age for this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39.
Visitors from the UK will require a visa to enter Nepal. Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad or on arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan airport. 6 months passport validity is required in order to enter Nepal. It’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas for your time away. Visa rules are subject to change without prior notice, so please do check visa requirements at the time of your trip.

Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.
Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.
24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.
It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
