14 days of fun and adventure in the USA and Canada!
Day 1: Arrive in New York City. Welcome to the Big Apple! Hit the bright lights of NYC as you arrive at any time today. There are no scheduled activities apart from a 7pm welcome meeting this evening. Get ready for the road trip of a lifetime!
Day 2: New York City to Washington DC. Stop in Philadelphia to visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Travel to Washington DC for a moonlight tour of the city’s famous monuments and memorials. Dinner included.
Day 3: Washington DC. Spend a full day discovering all the wonders of Washington on a free day. See the White House, George Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4: Washington DC to Allegheny National Forest. Make tracks for the great American outdoors and the awe-inspiring Allegheny Reservoir in Pennsylvania. Get close to nature in this unspoilt spot. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 5: Allegheny National Forest to Niagara Falls. Travel to Niagara Falls for the legendary 1-hour ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat tour. Optional Cave of the Winds tour (USD12). Optional casino trip. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 6: Niagara Falls to Toronto. Cross the border into Canada and arrive in Toronto. Enjoy a short orientation tour and free time in the city. Your campsite is located just outside the city. Breakfast included.
Day 7: Toronto. Enjoy a full free day to make the most of all that Toronto has to offer. Grab a coffee and watch the world go by, stroll down atmospheric Queen Street, discover the Toronto Islands by ferry, or hit the cobbled streets of the Distillery District. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 8: Ottawa. Your next stop is Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. After a 5-6 hour bus ride through the beautiful landscapes of Canada, enjoy some free time to explore and relax after your journey. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 9: Ottawa to Montreal. Continue on to your next Canadian destination, the French-flavoured city of Montreal. Your guide will give you a brief orientation to find your bearings, before you settle down for a night in your city centre hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 10: Montreal. Make the most of this full, free day in the beautiful, bilingual city of Montreal. Relax at Mount Royal Park or have adrenaline fun at La Ronde Amusement Park (CAD45). Breakfast included.
Day 11: Montreal to Boston. Cross back over the border into the USA. Travel through Vermont to the US city of Boston. Your guide will give you a brief orientation session and then the rest of the day is yours to explore. Breakfast included.
Day 12: Boston to Cape Cod. Enjoy a free morning in Boston before travelling to Cape Cod, famous for its beautiful beaches. Your campsite is only a 20-minute walk from the beach - don’t miss sunset over the sea. Dinner included.
Day 13: Cape Cod. Relax in the stunning beach surroundings of Cape Cod and enjoy a free day. Laze on the beach or join an optional whale watching tour (USD47). Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 14: Cape Cod to New York City. Return to New York and do some last sightseeing or shopping, or enjoy a final meal and drinks out with your new friends. Look back on two weeks of amazing road trip memories! Breakfast included. Your brilliant US tour ends in New York City today and you are free to depart at any time. If you want to extend your stay in New York we can advise you on accommodation options.

You should arrange your own arrival into New York on day 1. There are no activities planned for this first day, but please arrive in time for a 7pm welcome meeting.
Airport transfers are not included. You can get a taxi from the airport for around USD50-70, use a shared shuttle service (approx USD19-25) or travel into NYC on the subway.
The tour ends back in New York on day 14. Please note: Due to the late arrival in New York City on the final day, we strongly recommend booking an extra night of accommodation and flying out the following day. If you must depart on day 14, you should not book a flight before 9pm. Please speak to a travel advisor for more details.
13 nights’ shared accommodation are included on this tour. This will be a combination of participation camping (9 nights) and hostels (4 nights). You will be provided with 2-person dome tents and camping equipment, although you should bring a proper sleeping bag and a travel pillow with you.

12 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 8 dinners are included on this trip. Breakfasts will be breads or cereals, lunches will usually be sandwiches or salads and evening meals will be hot and freshly-prepared. Please allow USD265-345 for meals not included.
You will be expected to muck in with meal preparation and washing up, and your guide will arrange a rota for this while you are on the road. Vegetarian meals and other dietary requirements can be catered for if you let us know in advance of travel.
The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39.
Please note the legal drinking alcohol age in the USA is 21 years. If you are under 21, you will not be permitted into pubs, bars or casinos.
British Nationals visiting the USA will be able to travel (for tourism purposes) under the US Visa Waiver Programme for durations of up to 90 days. All travellers going to the United States will have to complete the ESTA form online for authorisation under the Visa Waiver Programme. Details on how to apply for this will be given to you once you have booked.
If you intend to stay for longer than 90 days, plan to work, have ever been arrested or hold any criminal convictions however, you will need to apply for a visa. American immigration procedures can be quite confusing, so for full and further details please either call us, or contact the US Embassy.

This trip is designed with your safety and wellbeing in mind. Our suppliers and partners have health and safety procedures in place on all of our trips. These protocols will be updated and adapted as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, dependent on local restrictions and laws.
Transport and accommodation choices
Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.
Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.
Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.
24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.
It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
