Be inspired by India and Nepal on this wonderful 15-day adventure tour from Delhi to Kathmandu, with everything in-between!

Day 1: Delhi. Arrive at any time. Evening guided tour to India Gate and Connaught Place.

Day 2: Pushkar. Soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating town on an orientation walk, followed by an optional camel ride to watch the sun set.

Day 3-4: Jaipur. See the sun rise after a hike to Savitri Temple in Pushkar, then travel on to Jaipur. Guided tour of the Amber Fort is included. Free time to explore.

Day 5-6: Agra. A guided tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal is included. Option to visit Agra Fort and Baby Taj. Overnight train to the holy city of Varanasi.

Day 7-8: Varanasi. Go on an orientation walk along ghats and in the old city, with its maze of alleyways, temples and shrines. Optional boat ride on the Ganges at either sunrise or sunset.

Day 9: Lumbini. Travel into Nepal and head for the sacred town of Lumbini, birthplace of Buddha.

Days 10-11: Chitwan. Enjoy an orientation walk of Chitwan town, followed by an optional jeep safari to discover the wildlife of Chitwan NP. Stay at a local homestay with an indigenous community.

Days 12-13: Pokhara. Go on an orientation walk in Pokhara. Optional activities included paragliding or an amazing Himalayan sunrise walk up Mt Sarangkot. Visit a local project and learn to cook some traditional Nepalese dumplings, before enjoying a delicious inclusive lunch

Day 14: Kathmandu. Get your bearings on an orientation walk. Optional activities include a scenic flight over Everest.

Day 15: Kathmandu. Your tour ends today in Kathmandu and you can depart at any time.

Arrival information

You will need to arrange your arrival into the airport in New Delhi on day 1. 

Please note, we can also arrange an airport transfer for you when you arrive. Please contact a Travel Advisor for more information.

If you don’t book an arrival transfer, then taxis are the most convenient way to get to your accommodation, but you should only use the official prepaid taxi service on offer at the airport which is operated by the Delhi Traffic Police. You will pay the rate in advance (approx £3-£4).

Accommodation & meals

14 nights’ accommodation are included as part of this trip. Most will be in twin-share rooms, with the exceptions of the overnight train and homestays.

Most meals are not included, apart from one lunch in Kathmandu. You should allow around USD355-465 for meals not included.

Minimum age & eligibility

The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39.

You will need to have a tourist visa in order to travel to India, and should obtain this before leaving the UK. Please contact us for more details.

Before leaving the UK you should also make a trip to your GP in order to discuss your travel plans. As vaccination and medication requirements vary between different Indian regions, a detailed discussion of your travel plans and intended destinations is highly advised.

It is possible to get a Nepalese visa at the border; you will need at least one passport size photograph and 25 USD.

Physical Rating: Light. The activities on this trip are suitable for most fitness levels.
