Day 1: Hello Auckland - Touch down in Auckland and get lost exploring this fantastic city. Take a ferry over to Waiheke Island or visit the Maritime Museum. Tonight you’ll meet your group and trip leader for a welcome meeting!
Day 2: Auckland/Raglan - Visit a fascinating marine conservation farm which focuses on the development of sustainable aquaculture then head out on a sea kayak to a remote harbour for a delicious picnic lunch.
Day 3: Raglan - Surf the waves at one of the world’s most famous surf areas, then opt for some relaxing yoga, rent a stand up paddle board or wander the area’s stunning hiking trails for incredible views.
Day 4: Raglan/Rotorua - Go on an exhilarating caving excursion in the famous Waitomo Caves. Be a true traveller as you venture out and explore the stunning scenery on foot whilst spotting glow-worms.
Day 5: Rotorua/Taupo – Choose to hit up a rejuvenating spa, witness the technicolour pools at the spectacular geothermal park or go whitewater rafting. This is an adrenaline-packed day to remember!
Day 6: Taupo/Wellington - Gaze in amazement as you travel past the astonishing scenery en route to Wellington. Take a visit to the spectacular National Museum, Te Papa, then opt to take the cable car to see breathtaking views of the city.
Day 7: Wellington/Abel Tasman National Park - Jump on a ferry towards the Cook Strait. Witness the impressive views of the Marlborough Sounds at the top of the South Island then travel onwards to Abel Tasman National Park.
Day 8: Abel Tasman National Park - Spend the day hiking and exploring the gorgeous beaches and waterways. Why not walk along the beautiful coastline from Anchorage to Marahau and take your camera? You’ll be spoilt with photograph opportunities!
Day 9: Abel Tasman National Park/Westport - Drive past beautiful black sandy beaches. Then make a pitstop to a fascinating New Zealand fur seal colony at Cape Foulwind. Then make your way onwards to Westport for the night.
Day 10: Westport/Franz Josef - Head out on a loop trail to see how the Pancake Rocks were formed millions of years ago. Reach the coastline and look out to the incredible views of the ocean, rocks and blowholes - don’t forget to take it all in!
Day 11:Franz Josef - Take in everything that Franz Josef has to offer today. Chill out or head out for some fun optional activities! Go on a glacial hike, a helicopter hike, or quad biking!
Day 12: Queenstown - Sit back and watch the New Zealand scenery pass you by as you journey to Queenstown today - the adventure capital of the world!
Days 13-14: Queenstown - Get your adrenaline pumping with some super exhilarating activities. Why not go jet boating or bungee jumping? Or go mountain biking or skydiving instead!
Day 15: Queenstown/Te Anau – Explore more of New Zealand’s incredible scenery today. Get your camera at the ready to shoot some spectacular photos of waterfalls, epic mountains and then go dolphin and seal spotting.
Day 16: Te Anau/Central Otago - Wander throughout the natural beauty of Te Anau and see if you can spot any endangered takah? birds before leaving for Wedderburn in Central Otago.
Day 17: Central Otago - Hop on your bike and peddle along an easy gradient through the most breathtaking of scenery alongside 35km of the old rail trail. Relish in the roads unseen and speed by with hardly any traffic in sight!
Day 18:Wedderburn/Christchurch - Learn about how this fantastic city was rebuilt after an earthquake in 2011. After you’ve explored the area with your travel buddies, enjoy some free time this evening to wander.
Day 19: Christchurch/Kaikoura - Go for a spot of whale watching, take a stroll along the coast and keep and eye out for the seals. Then afterwards spend the afternoon swimming with friendly dolphins or taking a breathtaking flight over the peninsula.
Day 20: Kaikoura/Wellington - Travel to the picturesque little seaside town of Picton then opt in for a final night out with your travel buddies and make some everlasting memories.
Day 21: Wellington - Explore on your last day in the vibrant city of Wellington before waving goodbye to New Zealand as you fly home. Don’t forget to take all of your memories with you!

You should plan to arrive into Auckland Airport in New Zealand at any time on day 1. On day 21, you can depart at any time from Wellington International Airport. If you would prefer to extend your stay in New Zealand, your trip guide can help you with any onwards travel arrangements.
You will be staying in varied accommodation throughout this trip - 11 nights in hostels, 3 nights in basic hotels, 9 nights in basic lodges. Most nights are in single-sex multi-share dorms of 4-6 people.

The minimum age for this tour is 18. This tour is designed for 18-39 year olds.
Visitors who are transitting through or entering New Zealand as tourists will need to hold an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before travelling to New Zealand. Tourists will also need to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) alongside the ETA. Tourists can enter for up to 6 months. People entering New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa do not require an ETA.
If you are planning on working at all during your time in New Zealand, you will need to apply for a Working Holiday Visa (available to 18-30 year olds) and can do this by visiting the New Zealand Immigration website.
