See it all in Australia and New Zealand! Begin with an action-packed 6 week tour on Australia’s sparkling East Coast and then hop over to New Zealand for an exciting 17 day group tour!

Australia East Coast Adventure (6 weeks)

Your tour begins in the buzzing city of Sydney. After an included airport transfer, you’ll meet your group and enjoy a city tour, a trip around Sydney harbour on board a private catamaran, a 2-day getaway on Bondi Beach, a Sydney bar crawl and a walk from Coogee to Bondi, one of the world’s most beautiful coastal walks.

In week 2, the road trip begins! Your first stop is Byron Bay, where you’ll enjoy surf lessons and yoga sessions. You’ll then crawl up to Surfers Paradise for beach bliss and water sports. Your third week sees you touring around Brisbane and enjoying a getaway in the lush forests of Noosa. The week ends on Rainbow Beach!

Weeks 4 + 5 are dedicated to unique experiences. First, you’ll enjoy a 4x4 camping adventure on the glorious sands of K'gari. Then, you’ll enjoy a cruise around the gorgeous Whitsundays Islands on board a sailing yacht. You’ll then chill out on Airlie Beach and Magnetic Island. Your final week includes a stop off on the golden sands of Mission Beach and 5 days in Cairns, where you’ll enjoy a day-trip to the dramatic Atherton Tablelands and a snorkelling boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

New Zealand Adventure (17 days)

Head from north to south on this fantastic group tour through New Zealand!  You’ll meet Maori elders, see the glow worm caves of Waitomo, hike through Mount Cook National Park, cruise on Milford Sound and get adventurous in Queenstown. This epic 17 day tour has it all!

After exploring Auckland, you’ll travel north to a traditional Maori village, and stop off at the Waitomo glow worm caves on the way. Next up, you’ll discover the thermal waters of Rotorua and visit the Hobbiton set, before heading to Taupo for a special sunset sail across the lake and then on to the mighty Huka Falls before looping back to Auckland.

You’ll cross over to the South Island of New Zealand with an included flight from Auckland to Queenstown and explore the city and enjoy jetboating at 80kmh!. Journey through Milford Sound and keep your eyes peeled for seals. Visit Wanaka for jaw dropping landscapes, Lake Tekapo for milky blue lakes and Mt Cook National Park. Enjoy a days of optional adventure activities in Queenstown before the trip comes to an end.

Arrival information

Australia

Your tour begins at around 11am on day 1 in Sydney. Due to this early start time, we recommend you arrive into Australia the day before and book an extra night of accommodation in Sydney. An airport transfer is included.

If you want to arrive a few days earlier into Sydney or book extra nights at the starting accommodation, we will be happy to help you organise any additional accommodation you may need (at extra cost). Please contact us for further details.

On your end date the tour will finish in the morning in Cairns. A return airport transfer is not included but is easy to arrange locally.

New Zealand

You will need to arrange your own travel into Auckland where the tour begins. You can arrive at any time on day 1 of your NZ Adventure tour and you will be collected from the airport.

Your tour ends in Queenstown on day 17 and you can depart at any time.

Accommodation & meals

Australia

42 nights of accommodation are included on this group tour. This will mainly be in mixed hostel dorms, sleeping between 4 and 12 people. Two nights will be spent on overnight transport. Two nights will be spent camping on K'gari, and two nights will be spent on board a maxi yacht.

Some meals are included on this tour (see the trip notes for details). You will need to purchase the majority of meals yourself. Each stop will have a great range of restaurants and backpacker bars where you can find tasty meals. We recommend budgeting around AUD30-50 per day for food and drink.

New Zealand

16 nights’ accommodation is included as part of this NZ Adventure. This is on a multi share mixed-sex basis in rooms of 4-6 people in centrally located hostels.

Some but not all meals are included during this 17 day tour. You will have a total of 9 breakfasts included along with 2 lunches and 3 dinners.

Minimum age & eligibility

The minimum age to join this combo trip is 18. This trip is designed for those aged 18-35. 

Australia: All visitors to Australia (excepting those from New Zealand) will require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter. These must be applied for before departure, and if you’re planning on working in Australia whilst you’re out here you’ll need a Working Holiday Visa. If you are just heading to Australia for fun however, an ETA will suffice. Both visas can be applied for online. Please feel free to contact us if you need any more information.

New Zealand: UK citizens don’t need a visa for New Zealand and can stay in the country for up to six months as a tourist. However visitors who are transitting through or entering New Zealand as tourists will need to hold an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before travelling to New Zealand. Tourists will also need to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) alongside the ETA. People entering New Zealand on a working holiday visa do not require an ETA.
